Request for Proposal (RFP) Through an extensive RFP process, the Bergen One-Stop Career Center sponsors a number of job training programs for at-risk-youth and recipients of public assistance through local schools and community groups. WIA funds support programs at local facilities for youth between the ages of 14 and 21 who are economically disadvantaged, displaced or who have other special needs. Programs are available for in-school and out-of-school youth. Staff members work with the guidance counselors and support staff from area high schools, and local community organizations to identify needy students. In the summer of 2009, the One-Stop sponsored a summer youth work initiative that gave jobs to over 300 youth in municipalities throughout the County. The initiative was funded by ARRA. WFNJ - TANF/GA (Public Assistance) BCTS/WFNJ sponsons intensive job training programs for clients in need of occupational training, mental health support and basic skills instruction through a number of local providers. ITA Contracts Clients choose their course of study in accordance with the State's Demand Occupation List.
