Services for Job Seekers
Are you looking for a job or exploring a career change?
The One-Stop is a full service center for individuals seeking career counseling and job development skills. The One-Stop serves a broad range of clients, from those in need of extensive workplace readiness skills to skilled professionals with advanced degrees. Special programs are available to assist veterans, individuals with disabilities, and older, economically disadvantaged workers.
First time visitors to the center are instructed to attend an Information Session, which runs four times a week, to learn about all of the services available. Individuals can then use the Public-Access lab, attend one of several workshops, or meet one-on-one with staff. Those interested in job search can meet immediately with a LWD Interviewer to review available job openings. Clients can also make an appointment to meet with a WIA Counselor or LWD staff to learn about career prospects and training opportunities, develop resumes, and refine interview skills.
In the Public Access area, individuals can work on their own to prepare cover letters and resumes; use the telephones, copier and fax machines, or search for a job through online job banks.
Workshops offered weekly to assit with job search. See calendar for more details.
