The Bergen One-Stop Career Center (BOSCC), established in 1996, provides education, job skills training, career planning, and job search assistance to all members of the community. Our mission is to provide Bergen County with a skilled labor force that is prepared to meet the rapidly changing business demands of the 21st century's global economy. The BOSCC addresses the human resource needs of employers and job seekers, while providing individuals with the opportunity to obtain job skills that lead to higher levels of productivity and earning power.
Services include job search and placement assistance, counseling, comprehensive assessments, individual employment plans and case management.
The Bergen One-Stop Career System is an equal opportunity employer with equal opportunity programs. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request for individuals with disabilities.
The One Stop is funded by several federal and state grants including the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), which is overseen by Bergen County Technical Schools (BCTS) and the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development (LWD). In addition to WIA, additional grants at the One Stop include WorkFirst NJ, which provides job training skills to individuals receiving temporary assistance, and Workforce Learning Link, which offers adult learners the ability to upgrade basis skills.
Partner agencies also include the following local LWD divisions: the Business Resource Center, Employment Services, Vocational Rehabilitation and Unemployment Insurance Services. There are also representatives at the Center from the Displaced Homemakers Grant, Easter Seals/55 Plus, Veterans Services, and the Bergen County Board of Social Services.
