One Stop to Hold Review for Training Providers

April 26, 2011... The Bergen One Stop Career Center will be holding a mandatory orientation review for all vendors and training providers who have done business with the Bergen One Stop Career center since July 2009. This session will be held on April 29, 2011 at 9:30 am at One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack.

Vendors and training providers include those schools and organizations that receive Workforce Investment Act funding in the form of Individual Training Account grants (ITAs) for students, or contracted service grants for clients and students through our Request for Proposal (RFP) process. WIA dollars are highly monitored by federal, state and local officials, and it is critical that we are in compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations of the grant. The purpose of this meeting will be to review the following areas:

1. Review One Stop protocols and procedures for Program Year 2011
2. Review new Common Measures, especially “Placement in Employment upon Completion of Training” area
3. Site Review Procedures
4. Attendance/Progress Reports along with placement information and paper work flow to the One Stop
5. Referral/Acceptance Process
6. New Jersey Department of Labor Eligible Training Provider List

School Directors and Managers who are responsible for WIA contracts have been invited to this important meeting. Failure to attend may affect the vendor/provider’s eligibility to receive further contracts.
